I would like to request your approval to attend the upcoming Nordic APIs Summit, featuring 60+ speakers in Stockholm, Sweden, from October 12–14.

Nordic APIs Summit has become the leading conference for all things APIs. It’ll cover critical API topics spanning design, security, identity management, standards like the Model Context Protocol (MCP), and how APIs are evolving for the agentic AI era. There are going to be many valuable first-hand stories from API practitioners and industry experts, with international speakers from Microsoft, Adobe, London Stock Exchange Group, Akamai, Curity, Amadeus, and beyond.

I think the event would be really valuable to our team, as well as to my personal career development. In particular, I expect to come back with practical insights on:

• How to prepare our APIs for agentic consumption
• New advances in agentic AI, MCP, Agent2Agent (A2A), and other emerging protocols
• Security strategies to limit agentic AI risks when working with backend systems
• API-first strategies from platform teams implementing them today in practice
• Networking opportunities with architects, CTOs, platform leaders, and others working directly with APIs
• Expert panels, showcases, workshops, and discussions that could help improve our API posture

The hosts of the Nordic APIs Summit are offering discounts for early registration, as well as limited discounted hotel rates to help reduce costs. It’s a full two-day conference from October 13–14, with a half-day, discussion-driven unconference on October 12. I’d love to attend both if possible.
