Milton Carranza is an API and integration leader based in Prague with more than a decade of experience designing scalable, developer-friendly APIs and integration platforms. He currently works as Associate Director, API and Integration at MSD, where he leads API initiatives, architecture, and delivery across enterprise systems.
Milton has worked extensively with REST API design, API management, developer experience, Node.js, Swagger/OpenAPI, and enterprise integration practices. In addition to his engineering leadership work, he has also taught REST API Design workshops and training sessions for developers and architects in Prague.
He is a long-time contributor to the API community and previously wrote the Nordic APIs article How I Bought My Property Thanks to APIs, where he explored how APIs, geospatial data, and automation helped him make data-driven real estate decisions in Prague.
His work focuses on the intersection of API design, developer experience, AI-assisted development, and platform engineering — with a particular interest in how modern API practices influence scalability, usability, and now increasingly, LLM efficiency.
