Baljeet Malhotra is the Founder and Managing Director of TeejLab Inc., a technology company based in BC, Canada. Baljeet holds a PhD in Computing Science from the University of Alberta, Canada, and Post-Doc from the National University of Singapore.

Previously he was the VP of Research at Black Duck Software, a market leader in Open Source security and risk management. He built the R&D division of the company based in Canada. Black Duck Software was acquired by Synopsys for $565 million. He was a Research Director at SAP during 2011-2016, where he build IoT standards and Open Source strategies and technologies.

Before that he was a Computational Scientist with the Earth Observation Systems Laboratory and a Software Engineer at Satyam Computers during 1999-2002. He works very closely with the academic/industry research community across the globe. He concurrently holds three Adjunct Professor positions at the University of British Columbia, University of Victoria and the University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC). He is also a patron of TeejLab-UNBC Center of Excellence in Data Privacy, Security and Integrity.
