About the event

For this Copenhagen event we’re partnering with Copenhagen Fintech to offer a unique exploration of APIs for open banking and the financial technology sector. It’s a full day event starting off with a 3 hour workshop on OAuth and OpenID Connect in Practice and continuing with an afternoon of sessions on APIs for Banking and FinTech.

We will bring together experts on web API business and design to discuss the importance of properly designing robust APIs and microservices that not only meet regulatory expectations, but are designed to scale well to developer usages. Our speakers will address the core tenants that must be adopted in order for API integrations to remain secure and viable in tomorrow’s rapidly evolving digital financial realm. We will also offer important knowledge on API security – the full-day event starts with a hands-on workshop on OAuth and OpenID Connect (optional).

Web APIs are truly at the heart of the open banking movement. With regulatory pressure from PSD2 to expose APIs, banks now require expert insights on best practices on API business and usability if they are to stay relevant. APIs are also at the core of FinTech, where they are used to initiate transactions, unite the blockchain, and retrieve data on everything from stock prices to personal finance data.
