These components represent the visible surface when it comes to the AI conversation. But have you ever stopped to consider the underlying infrastructure that actually makes these technologies work? APIs are frequently (and rightfully) highlighted in discussions about AI. They act as the essential abstraction layer, serving as the bridges between systems that retrieve data and perform actions on behalf of distributed solutions. Remember several companies have core systems for RH, CRM, ERP and these are the nervous system for the daily operations and often interact with outdated protocols or technologies. The new development mindset (like cloud native or AI-first) needs to live together in this heterogeneous scenario. Understanding patterns of integration to create abstractions that bring resilience and make it reliable, will start bringing the rightful value for core systems, and it’s here that the EI starts to shine.
