In this session, I’ll discuss how positioning, pricing, and messaging shifts when you switch to an API mindset. At TravelTime, the shift to API-first gave us so much clarity for decision-making, pricing, and growth metrics.
One of the biggest lessons learned was learning to say no to revenue from potential customers that had no access to development teams. Lots of inquiries would land in our inbox asking for a fully built end-to-end solution. We had to learn to say “no.” You don’t expect a DIY store to sell you the bricks and then help you build your house too. The same applies to APIs.
