Ken Parmelee leads the worldwide business strategy for IBM API Economy, which includes API Connect
and Datapower software offerings. Mr. Parmelee lead the acquisition of Strongloop as a critical part of
IBM’s API Economy strategy. He was previously responsible for strategy for IBM MobileFirst where his
team lead industry leading partnerships for IBM in the mobile space.

Prior to IBM, Ken lead research for Gartner in their Mobile and Client Computing group focusing on
mobile, mobile integration and security. He authored the Mobile Application Development Magic Quadrant
along with other research pieces- guiding clients on mobile strategy, user experience and best practices. 

Prior to joining Gartner, Mr Parmelee was senior director of product management, with Antenna software,
where he helped drive the company's mobile application software roadmap as the company doubled in
revenue. His mobile application team built groundbreaking HTML5 mobile applications and management
technologies. He also opened new verticals for Antenna in life sciences, manufacturing and retail. Prior to
his six years with Antenna, he held a variety of key positions, with Everdream, KPMG, Sony and others
building a technology career that goes back to 1995.
