When we talk about open banking, the subject matter often differs on a country-by-country and bank-by-bank basis. This, in turn, results in different approaches to providing and describing the APIs that underpin the market. Developer experience, therefore, varies based on which country you are in, what motivations exist for creating an open banking ecosystem, and the level of innovation that is already apparent in that market.

As we already know, developer experience is critically important for the uptake of APIs. This extends to open banking markets driven by standards, as these drive the ethos of openness and accessibility around how adoption is taken forward.
