Command line interfaces (CLIs) are textual interfaces that allow a user to execute a command, manipulate data, and interface with a system. In a CLI environment, users input commands using a keyboard, and the system responds with textual output. Examples of CLI interfaces include the Command Prompt and PowerShell on Windows, Terminal on macOS, and various terminal emulators on Linux distributions.
