If you’ve been to any of Nordic APIs’ conferences before, you’ll know that you can expect insightful content and a friendly atmosphere. We’ve gathered some frequently asked questions to help everyone get the most out of their time at the conference. If you can’t find an answer to your question below, please let us know! Yes, we do. You can read in full here. In short: all conference participants are expected to be respectful towards other attendees, speakers, organizers and staff. If you feel uncomfortable with the behavior of anyone at the conference, please let someone in the Nordic APIs team know. Where is the conference? The conference takes place at the Hyatt Regency Austin. The address is 208 Barton Springs Rd., Austin, TX 78704. You can see it on a map here. Is there a special hotel rate for participants? If you are planning an overnight stay, we recommend the Marriott Austin South, where we have secured discounted room rates for conference attendees ($219 – $309). Booking details are provided upon registration. We also have a bundle with hotel and conference registration for a limited time. Do I need to bring anything? You will need your ticket containing your QR code either printed or on your smartphone (this will be sent by text message to you prior to the event) to register at the event. What time should I arrive? Registration for the main conference opens at 8:00 AM on Tuesday March 12th. The conference starts at 9:00 AM. What happens if I’m running late? Don’t worry if you are running late. Our staff will stay at the registration desk and we’ll let you slip into the auditorium quietly once we’ve given you your name badge. What time does the conference finish? The conference is due to wrap up in the afternoon Wednesday March 13. Keep an eye on the schedule for up-to-date timings. Will food be provided? A hot lunch is provided, plus tea, coffee and snacks throughout the day. Will you cater for my special dietary requirements? Yes. You will see a question regarding dietary requirements on the registration form. Let us know your requirements there. If you have already registered and missed to inform dietary needs, you can do so by emailing us at info@nordicapis.com. Can I attend a workshop? We’re running half day workshops the day before the conference on March 11. You can view them here. Can my company get a group discount? Group discounts are available on standard priced tickets when registering 2 or more people at the same time. The discount is automatically deducted when you add more people to your order. Who organizes the conference? The conference is organized by Nordic APIs. We also organize the Platform Summit which takes place Stockholm Sweden each October. Is there a drinks reception? Yes – We’re hosting a drinks reception after the last session on Tuesday 12 March. The reception will finish around 7.30pm. I can’t find my way around Austin, do you have a map for me?
