As agentic AI becomes more of a production reality, developers are realizing that AI and ML systems require access to real-time data that goes beyond synchronous request-response systems. As such, event-driven and asynchronous APIs are likely to play a bigger role in the AI ecosystem going forward.
In this hour-long discussion, we’ll bring in API community experts to pick apart the benefits of adopting asynchronous communication patterns in AI and data science. We’ll consider what sort of agentic AI workflows could benefit from event-driven flows, how asynchronous patterns benefit real-time data processing for AI, and explore some strategies and standards to get started.
The LiveCast will feature Ryan Day, an advanced data scientist and author of Hands-On APIs for AI and Data Science: Python Development with FastAPI, and Phil Leggetter, Head of Developer Experience at Hookdeck. Bill Doerrfeld, tech journalist and Editor in Chief at Nordic APIs, will moderate the discussion and audience Q and A. The panel discussion will be recorded over Zoom and published to YouTube shortly after the event.
