The legal agreement between the user of an API and the publisher of an API is often forgotten until the last minute in an API project, yet it is very important. To make it easier to publish an API a VINNOVA financed project have developed a Swedish API License. It is a license that is free to use (under Creative Commons), easy to understand and very adaptable to different business models and requirements. It can be used as is or as a starting point to create a completely customised license.
