The fast path to rapidly enabling legacy data and existing apps for mobile consumption involves two key accelerators: an optimized 2-tier server architecture that delivers mobile protocols and security and first mile/last mile API management to engage developers to author across device platforms. In this session, we present the design patterns and showcase a conference room booking demo to illustrate the approach. Topics covered include: Web sockets role in optimizing performance, mobile friendly security workflows, and open source tooling for HTML 5 client app dev.
