While the availability of and entitlements for APIs are determined by technical governance, their adoption and utilization of the outcomes they enable are determined largely by commercial governance. Therefore, API monetization strategies cannot be finalized without a well-defined partner ecosystem strategy and commercial structures that go with it. In this session, we’ll present the findings of our benchmarking study on API Productization across 15+ Platform Businesses – PaaS. We’ll dive deeper into how PaaS productizes and monetizes their APIs and API-powered platform assets, and present examples.
