Following the success of our API Security UnConference in 2025, we’re excited to bring the same energy and format back on October 12, 2026, the day before Platform Summit!
Join us the day before Platform Summit for a discussion-driven half-day unconference all around API security. Nordic APIs events tend to ignite passionate hallway discussions. So, we’ve decided to make space for this with a dedicated event!
Our UnConference offers a fun, collaborative way to participate in a group-led, spur-of-the-moment agenda ahead of the Platform Summit. Expect lively, thought-provoking discussions on the most pressing API topics, all driven by facilitators from the Nordic APIs community.
Meet fellow colleagues, break down barriers, network, and share your experiences to gain firsthand knowledge from peers. All ideas are welcome, and we’ll announce an overarching theme to help guide discussions as we get closer to the event. Expect an emphasis on API security and AI-related topics.
An unconference is an untraditional event format that welcomes community-led group discussions and ideas. Unlike a planned event with speaker sessions, an unconference has no fixed agenda — just spontaneous group discussions, presentations, and knowledge sharing.
We’ll first meet as a group, vote on discussion topics, and then separate into specific areas of interest. So, come prepared with topics in mind! These could be areas you’d like to present yourself, or learn more about.

🌀 12:30 – 13:15 Opening Circle & Session Planning Welcome from Nordic APIs + Curity Explanation of unconference format Icebreaker: “Your identity headache in 60 seconds” Sticky Note Wall begins!
☕ 13:15 – 13:45 Fika Grab coffee, network, and suggest session topics
🧠 13:45 – 14:30 Session Block 1 Break out into first set of participant-led sessions
🧠 14:30 – 15:15 Session Block 2 Choose a new topic room and dive in
💬 15:15 – 15:45 Coffee Break + Hallway Chats Discuss takeaways, update session board if needed
🧠 15:45 – 16:30 Session Block 3 Final breakout round of the day
