Shopify went from a company that treated the API as an afterthought to one that’s becoming a “Commerce OS.” It hasn’t been a smooth road. The DX team of three currently supports more than 60 endpoints, multiple libraries, and a half dozen different SDKs. This talk will focus on how we’ve managed to connect across teams internally, and use feedback that we’ve collected from our third party ecosystem to iterate on our APIs, reduce app downtime, and double developer engagement in our community.
